Dinosaur Game

The Dinosaur Game, also called the Chrome Dino Game, is a built-in offline mini-game that appears when Google Chrome users lose their internet connection. It was created by Chrome developers in 2014 as a fun way to turn frustration into entertainment.

When you see the message “No Internet” or “Unable to connect,” a pixelated dinosaur (nicknamed T-Rex) appears. Pressing the spacebar (or tapping on mobile) starts the game. The T-Rex begins to run automatically through a desert landscape, and your goal is to avoid obstacles — mainly cacti and flying pterodactyls — by jumping or ducking at the right time.

There’s no finish line. The game continues indefinitely until you hit an obstacle. Your score increases the longer you survive, making it an endless runner — a genre known for fast reflexes and quick thinking.
