Junior Legal Counsel

You will provide:

● independently review marketing and other business-related contracts in English;
● advise other departments on privacy and IP issues;
● monitor and inform the company on regulatory developments in the areas of privacy and customer protection in our key markets (US, EU, and English-speaking countries);
● answer to the legal requests of law enforcement and other official authorities for certain projects;
● do a prior art search and patent analysis, primarily on the US market;
● communicate with foreign external counsels on a variety of regulatory and dispute resolution issues;
● support the HR function of the company in Ukraine and abroad in cooperation with other team members and external service providers;
● legal support of the office and corporate infrastructure of the company in Ukraine and abroad (lease agreements, services supply contracts, KYC procedures) in cooperation with other team members and external service providers;
● assist with daily routine procedures of the Legal department (initiating and following up on payments, arranging for signature and delivery of documents);
● work with notaries, handling internal and external day-to-day requests addressed to the legal team;
● legal research and occasional translation.

From you:

● at least 1 year of professional with international business or a reputable law firm advising businesses on commercial law, consumer protection, and IP matters (US and/or EU jurisdictions);
● fluent English written and spoken good drafting skills both in Ukrainian and English;
● knowledge of IP laws, in particular, applicable to the IT industry;
● keen for details;
● fast learner;
● good research skills.

Will be an advantage:

● prior roles in the IT industry;
● understanding of AML regulations and procedures;
● working on complex international relocation projects;
● supporting legal entities abroad;
● foreign degree (LL.M. or other);
● familiarity with GDPR and US privacy and consumer protection laws.
